    John Miles Net worth – John Miles was a well accomplished British musician, guitarist and keyboardist who had a net worth of $3 million.

    John Miles (23 April 1949 – 5 December 2021) was a British rock singer, guitarist, and keyboardist best remembered for his Top 3 UK smash single “Music” in 1976. 1 At the 2017 Progressive Music Awards, he received the “Outstanding Musical Achievement” award.

    John Miles Background – Miles was born John Errington in Jarrow, County Durham3, but grew up in Hebburn, a nearby town.

    In 1975, Miles acquired a recording contract with Decca UK, releasing four albums: Rebel (1976), Stranger in the City (1977), 7 Zaragon (1978), and More Miles Per Hour (1979). (1979). Miles, on the other hand, had the most success with singles, releasing eighteen throughout this period. He also hit in the UK with “Highfly” (1975), “Remember Yesterday” (1976), and “Slow Down” (1977), in addition to “Music” (1977). Miles was dubbed “the brightest, freshest force in British rock” by Melody Maker not long after the debut of “Music.”

    Bob Marshall, the bassist in his backup band, co-wrote the majority of his tunes.

    John Miles Career – Miles made multiple appearances on the weekly pop TV show Supersonic during his best years, 1976 and 1977. In the United States, the debut album was well-received. Two singles from the debut album charted in the United States, with “Highfly” reaching No. 68, and “Music” stalling at No. 88. In June 1977, his biggest US chart hit was “Slow Down,” which reached No. 2 on the disco chart and No. 34 on the Billboard Hot 100.

    Miles has performed in the Night of the Proms9, a series of performances conducted annually in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, Poland, Denmark, and the United States, virtually every year since 1985. Shows were also held on a regular basis in Spain, France, Austria, Switzerland, and Sweden. The concerts usually feature a mix of pop and popular classical music (often combined), as well as a number of well-known musicians and groups.
    Miles was also a regular guest vocalist on Alan Parsons Project albums such as Tales of Mystery and Imagination (1976), Pyramid (1978), Stereotomy (1985), and Gaudi (1987), as well as Eric Woolfson’s Freudiana (1990).

    John Miles – Live in Concert, his first DVD, was released in 2002. Miles performed two songs with German band Pur at Gelsenkirchen, Germany in 2007. One of those songs, “Abenteuerland,” was performed in German by Miles and Pur. Pur-Friends-Live-Schalke-2007, a DVD of the concert, is available. Miles began travelling with Tina Turner again in October 2008, and he did so until May 2009.

    Miles was honored with a Progressive Rock Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music in 2017.

    Miles died on December 5, 2021, at the age of 72, after a brief illness, and is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Eileen.

    John Miles Jr., his son, is also a musician. He was born in London and has played with Milk Inc., Sylver, The Urge, and Fixate, among others.
