On Friday evening, December 17th, while addressing at a political gathering in Ibacho, Kisii County, Richard Onyonka began bleeding profusely from his lips and was sent to the hospital.
According to Arati, Onyonka was given a glass of water by an unknown person, which he drank and soon began experiencing health difficulties.
“After drinking the water, he thought it tasted odd and spat it out. On the other hand, his body reacted very instantly. “He started vomiting,” Arati said.

According to the Dagoretti North MP, Onyonka was rushed to a nearby institution for first aid and prolonged treatment. During his checkup, the doctors noticed that he had not swallowed the contents of the bottle.
His mouth, on the other hand, was riddled with erosion and ulcers. The MP was released on Saturday, December 19, and advised to relax at home.
“The doctors are still trying to figure out what substances Onyonka swallowed from the water bottle,” Arati said.
