According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Tim Norman, the star of Welcome to Sweetie Pie, was recently found guilty on two counts of federal murder-for-hire and one count of conspiring to commit wire and mail fraud.
On March 14, 2016, the reality star is alleged to have killed his 21-year-old nephew and co-star Andre Montgomery. After nearly 17 hours of deliberations, the jury reached its decision on Friday, finding that Norman had hired two individuals to shoot and kill his nephew.
Jurors also mentioned that Norman attempted to cash in a fraudulent $450,000 life insurance policy that was taken out on his nephew in 2015, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Missouri.
The Associated Press reports that although the prosecution has decided against seeking the death penalty, Norman may still receive a life sentence.
