Nina Jankowicz Education
Jankowicz has a Master’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service’s Center for Eurasian, Russian, and East European Studies. She is a proud alumni of Bryn Mawr College, where she majored in Political Science and Russian and received the honorary degree of magna cum laude. She is a member of the Eurasia Foundation’s Board of Trustees and is fluent in Russian, as well as Ukrainian and Polish.
Nina Jankowicz Career
Nina Jankowicz (born 1989) is an American researcher and author who specializes in disinformation. She was appointed to lead the newly constituted Disinformation Governance Board of the US Department of Homeland Security in April 2022.
Jankowicz double-majored in Russian and political science at Bryn Mawr College. She studied for a semester at Russia’s Herzen State Pedagogical University in 2010 and graduated in 2011.
As a Fulbright fellow in Kyiv in 2017, she worked for Ukraine’s foreign ministry. She worked as a disinformation fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center and as the National Democratic Institute’s Russia and Belarus program supervisor.
