Manfred Thierry Mugler Face Surgery; What Happened To His Nose
After many mishaps and accidents, Thierry Mugler underwent several reconstructive surgery on his face. In a 2019 interview with actress Tippi Hedren for Interview magazine, he confessed that he broke his nose crashing a vehicle, had a gym accident that wrecked his face, and had a motorbike accident that severely damaged his leg.
While Mugler admits that modifying his face was first motivated by reconstruction, he later stated that it had evolved into a matter of “pleasure and pleased myself.” He further mentioned that while undergoing anaesthetic to remove a piece of metal from his leg, he opted to get face surgery as well.

Manfred Thierry Mugler (December 21, 1948 – January 23, 2022) was a fashion designer from France.
Mugler was born in the French city of Strasbourg. His love prompted him to devote more time to sketching than to school, and he began studying classical dancing at the age of nine. He joined the ballet corps of the Rhin Opera (Opéra national du Rhin) when he was 14 years old.
Mugler began formal interior design instruction at the Strasbourg School of Decorative Arts about the same period.

Mugler began creating garments for Karim in 1971, when he was in his early twenties, already displaying the broad-shouldered, 1940s-inspired styles for which he would later become famous.
Mugler moved to Paris when he was 24 years old. He started creating garments for Gudule, a Parisian shop. Mugler began designing for a range of prominent ready-to-wear fashion firms in Paris, Milan, London, and Barcelona when he was 26 years old.
